----------------- Anita & Laura -----------------

Swim the Ouse

*What is this?

Sri Lanka is a country that has experienced years of civil conflict with great psychological impact for it’s people. Anita and Laura are raising money for the UK Sri Lanka Trauma Group, a registered charity supported by King's College London, raising awareness of mental health issues in Sri Lanka. Click here to see their website for more information. Anita and Laura will be travelling to Sri Lanka in November this year to work for a period of four months. This will primarily involve running workshops and training for volunteers, professionals and those working in mental health. They need your support to enable them to do this.

*The Challenge...

To help raise the funds to enable this work we have arranged to swim the Ouse, a river in Sussex. On Saturday 8th October we will don our wetsuits and jump into the cold, tidal river at Lewes and swim the 4 miles to Southease.

*Donate here!

We would be grateful for your support and any money you can donate will really make a difference. We are aiming to raise a total of £4000 which will enable us to run workshops and training in Columbo and also help address the psychological imapct of trauma throughout Sri Lanka.

To donate, please click on the link below which will take you to our Charity Giving website.
